Learning with Lucky ®
is a reading incentive program designed to encourage reading achievement
in first graders. Designed by a first grade teacher and her insurance
agent, the program allows teachers to motivate students through the
challenging process of learning to read. Essentially an
incentive-based system, the Learning with Lucky ® program motivates
students to earn privileges associated with their "reading buddies"
(stuffed puppies).
